There’s one or two additions I’d include to this list. The great scribefire (blogging add-on for firefox), yWriter (the best novel creation tool out there IMHO) and, believe it or not, Window’s Live Writer. I’ll be posting my own list of tools pretty soon but the one above should keep you going for a while.
